The Microbytes Innovation Club, under the Department of Mechatronics Engineering at Paavai Engineering College, organized the “Charades Words” event on February 17, 2025. The event was inaugurated by Dr. D.R.P. Rajarathnam, Head of the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, and witnessed participation from 56 students across various departments.
The event commenced with a preliminary round, where participants were given 20 jumbled words to solve within 20 minutes. Based on their performance, 15 students advanced to the second round. In this stage, participants were presented with 15 words in a table and were required to categorize them based on pronunciation, difficulty level (hard or easy), and other characteristics. The top 5 students from this round progressed to the final stage.
In the final round, participants had to identify images displayed in a PowerPoint presentation and determine the correct sequence of a story. The top two performers were selected based on their overall performance.
The event concluded with Dr. R. Arravind, Professor and Head of the Department of Aeronautical Engineering, distributing certificates to the winners and runners-up.
