The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized an event titled “ELECTRA’2018 (Paper Presentation and Technical Quiz)” on 31.08.18 at Kalams Chamber. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, presided over the function. In his presidential address, he insisted the students to improve their technical knowledge and communication skills to reach great heights in life. Dr.R.Murali Babu, Controller of Examinations and Dr.R.Arangasamy, HoD/ECE were juries of Technical Quiz and it was held at Kalams Chamber. Five rounds (Technical, Connections, Picture Identification, Buzzer round, Rapideo) were conducted and the first three teams were awarded cash prizes. Dr.S.Vijayakumar ASP,ECE and Dr.T.Loganayaki ASP,ECE were juries of Paper Presentation and it was held at Optical and Microwave Lab. Totally, 18 papers were shortlisted and students presented their innovative ideas. Cash prizes were awarded to the winners by the Principal and the juries. Dr.R.Arangasamy, Head of the Department, Faculty members of ECE and all the students from ECE department were also present. Ms.S.Srilekha, Second year ECE, welcomed the gathering. Ms.B.Shanmugapriya, Third year ECE, was the Quiz Master. Ms.E.Abbarna, Third year ECE, gave the Vote of thanks.
