Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Paavai Engineering College has organized 51st Engineer’s day celebration in association with Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). The inauguration started with a prayer song. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College gave his presidential address where he spoke about traditional innovations and creations. He also delivered the key elements of innovation which would be incorporated by the engineering students. Dr.A.Suphalakshmi, HoD/Department of Computer Science and Engineering felicitated the gathering. Various events like TechTalk, Quiz, Code debugging were conducted for the students irrespective of their departments. Topics on various domains like Artificial Intelligence, Thermodynamics, Survey, Chlorophil, Nikola Tesla, Cybercrime, Internet of Things, BMW cars, Black box, Horticulture were given to the students who participated in Tech Talk. Mohammed Faisal- II Civil and Simon- IV Aero won first prize. Paidi Prasanth Chandrasekar-II IT, Akshay- II Civil won third prize in the TechTalk event. The Quiz event was held in 2 rounds – Preliminary and mains. R.Mohan Ram- IV Mech, R.Pragadesh Kumar- III ECE and P.Dinakar- II CSE won the prizes.Code Debugging was held in 2 rounds – Preliminary and mains. M.Prakash Prabhu- III CSE, won first prize, G.Srinivas- III CSE, won second prize and G.Ajith kumar- II CSE, won third prize. The faculty members and students of various departments were present in the session and the session ended with vote of thanks proposed by Akila Jetkin, Third year student.
