A One day Guest Lecture on the title “Essential Skills needed for a Civil Engineer for Field Practice” was organized by Department of Civil Engineering, Paavai Engineering College on 20.03.2019 at Kalam’s Chamber. Chief Guest – Er.Muthukaruppan Rajasekaran Licensed Building Surveyor, Vinay Construction & Interiors, Namakkal. Mr.K.Mohan, Third year student, Paavai Engineering College welcomed the gathering, Mr.S.Mohammed Faizal, Third year student Paavai Engineering College gave a brief introduction about the chief guest. Our Honorable Director – Admin / Paavai Institutions, Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, honored the Chief Guest and gave his valuable presidential address about the field of Civil Engineering and the essentiality of language Hindi in field work. Our Respected Head of Department Mrs.J.Umanambi, gave her session speech regarding the importance of continuous learning needed to expand their knowledge while new methods develop and how they should be fully committed and enhance their skills through experience. Er.Muthukaruppan Rajasekaran spoke elaborately about the Plan preparation, important techniques to be considered in Vasthu and concepts of estimation & valuation. He maintained the session as more interactive and very useful. A good number of Professors actively participated in the program and were benefited. The queries from the students and faculties were effectively replied by the chief guest. Finally the vote of thanks was delivered by Ms.A.Sasikala, Third Year student and our Guest lecture program was successfully concluded.
