The Department of EEE, Paavai Engineering College has conducted a guest lecture on the title, Commercial metering arrangements and enforcement practices in power distribution on 3.09.2019. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, presided over the function and insisted the students to consider this kind of guest lecture as a forum to discuss on various students activities for effective electrical engineers. Mr.S.Saravanakumar, Assistant Exe.Engineer, Operation and Maintenance, TNEB -Salem was the guest speaker. In his lecture, he explained about power distribution network and the components. He also discussed about the recent trends adopted in power sectors. He insisted the participants to update the knowledge in of power sectors. He described the concepts of grid, source of power available, types of loads utilized, categories of consumers, types of metering used and the tariff calculation. Ms.K.Nisha third year EEE welcomed the gathering and Ms.M.Arunpriya of second year EEE proposed the vote of thanks.
