The Department of EEE, Paavai Engineering College has conducted a one day guest lecture on the title, ELECTRIC VEHICLE TECHNOLOGY on 12.03.2020. Dr.K.Selvi, Dean Academics, Paavai Engineering College presided over the function and insisted the students to consider this kind of guest lecture as a forum to gain knowledge on the various technology for becoming effective electrical engineers. Mr.E.Ashok Kumar, CADD Center Manager, Rasipuram was the chief guest. In his lecture, he explained briefly about Electric Vehicle Technology which is an evolving technology in recent trends. He explained the various types, working modules of electric vehicles and made a comparison between the IC engine and the IOT based electric vehicle. He also clarified the job roles of electrical engineers in the automobile domain. He defined about the Battery Management System [BMS] of the electric vehicle and its importance in the economic aspect over the conventional vehicle systems. He enriched the students with the courses related to EV Technology. Ms.N.Janani of Final year EEE welcomed the gathering and Ms.G.Nalina Devi of third year EEE proposed the vote of thanks.
