The Department of Agriculture Engineering, Paavai Engineering College organized a one day webinar on “Protected Cultivation” on 27th June, 2021. Ms.T.Dharanya, Final Year Agriculture Engineering welcomed the gathering of the webinar. Prof.Dr.P.Tamilchelvan introduced the Chief Guest and gave overview the scope of Agriculture also need of agriculture as well as Agriculture Engineers to the society. Coordinators were organized a wonderful session and gave the valuble talk about the current state of affairs of Agriculture. Dr.R.Manikandasamy CEO, National Horticulture Service, Coimbatore, was the Guest of Honor. He explained in his presentation about the Protected cultivation – Latest technologies (Poly House, Net House, Shade Net Cultivation and Insect Net Cultivation) – Government 100% subsidy schemes on Green House forms through Shade Net Cultivation. Also, with Proper schematic and Photographic views he explained clearly about his National Harticulture Projects carried out all over Tamilnadu and Karnataka in various levels of Funds. He also suggested the students to develop their employability skills, intellectual skills, delicate attributes and knowledge about how organizations work. Faculty members and students enthusiastically participated in the program. At the outset the Harticulture session was more interactive and very useful for Budding Engineers of Agriculture. Vote of thanks was delivered by Ms.T.Tharani Final Year / Agri. The session was very enlightening and inspiring.
