On behalf of Department of English, Paavai Engineering College organized a one day Student Development Academic webinar on “Word power beyond Dictionary” on 09thJuly, 2021. Mr.S.Niranjan, First year ECE welcomed those gathered for the webinar. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College delivered the presidential address on the occasion . Dr..R.Shanthi Head of the Department organized session and gave a overview of the importance of developing word power..Prof.M.Mohan, Professor & Head, Science and Humanities, Introduced the Guest speaker Ms.O.M.Jumana Haseen..,Assistant Professor, Department of English, AIMAN College of Arts & Science for Women, Trichy .She explained in her presentation about the Word Power beyond Dictionary. She also explained the students the method to develop word power. During the session, she enlightened the students on word power by explaining synonyms, antonyms and collocation. She finally explained the vast opportunities available in developing word power .At the final part of the session, the students asked questions. .Our keynote speaker clarified all doubts and answered the questions of the students. The webinar helped the students as well as staff in understanding the new innovative things on enriching word power. The session was very informative and interesting. Faculty members and students eagerly participated in the program. The vote of thanks was proposed by Mr.V.Naveen first year Mechatronics. Mr.C.Sarathi first year of Mechanical did the master of ceremony for the webinar. The session was very informative and motivating to all the students.
