On behalf of Department of Agriculture Engineering, Paavai Engineering College organized a one day Academic webinar on “Application of IT tools in Agriculture” on 10th October, 2021. M.Tharani of 2021 passed out Aluminad, who worked as Business executive in Nexential solutions private limited, Bangaluru, organized the event, Mr.C.Rameshkanna and Ms.R.Shalini coordinated the entire event, Ms.K.Lavanya, Final Year Agriculture Engineering welcomed the gathering. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College has delivered his presidential address. He addressed that, need of IT tools in agriculture as well as Agriculture Engineers responsibility to the society. Dr.Vivekanandhini Head of the Department gave the valuable talk about the current scenario of applications of IT tools in Agriculture. Dr.P.Tamilchelvan Professor, Agri, introduced the Chief Guest and gave overview of the scope of Agriculture. Mr.D.Godfrey Samuel, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Nexential solutions private limited and Mr. Jithin sunny, Bioinformatics consultant, Nexential solutions private limited was the guest of the honor. They explained in their presentation about the application of IOT in agriculture, ways to apply bioinformatics in agriculture, explain about their projects and also inculcated the importance of statistics and IOT in production field and it’s analysis. They has also explained about the course which they are offering to freshers and students to improve practical knowledge. They also suggested that students to develop employability skills, academic skills, personal attributes and knowledge about how organizations work. Faculty members and students enthusiastically participated in the program .The vote of thanks was delivered by Ms.K.Nandhini Final Year / Agri. The session was very instructive and motivating.
