Title: Climate changes and its implications

The board room discussion was started in the presence of Ms Rhythika Vikgnesh, Guest Speaker, Principal, Faculty Coordinator along with the Yi student participants.
The Special address was delivered by Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, in which he highlighted the importance of climate changes in this technological world. He motivated the students to understand the effects of technology as well as human intervention on climate and asked the students to take initiatives based on eco friendly innovations.
The session was carried over by the guest speaker Ms Rhythika Vikgnesh, Chair, Climate Change Vertical, Yi Salem & Director, VR Suzuki, on the title Climate changes, in which she gave a brief about effects of climate changes like volcano eruptions, hurricanes, landslides, drought, conditions of ice bergs and glaciers etc. She made the students to involve in the discussion about the same. Then, she conducted an activity on the titles which are some examples of natural disasters, in which the students gave their ideas and opinions.
Mr J Sakthivel Chair, (Salem Chapter) Young Indians & CTO, Sambandam Spinning Mills, welcomed the gathering.
Mr Vignesh Kumar Chair, Yi Yuva, Yi Salem Chapter & Financial Consultant gave a brief introduction about the theme “The Future of Climate changes”.
Mr Senthil Rajan SS, Co-Chair, (Salem Chapter) Young Indians & Director, Mercury Scientific Industries proposed the vote of thanks in which he added a point that accumulation of plastic waste in a house is around 2 kg/year, which constitutes around tons and tons of plastic waste. He also insisted the students to reduce such wastages.
