Paavai Engineering College organized a one-day International Conference on Adaptive technologies for sustainable growth “ICATS 21” on 20th October 2021 through Microsoft Teams. Dr Buddha Chandrasekar, Chief Coordinating Officer, AICTE, Ministry of Education, India was the chief guest. The welcome address was delivered by Director Administration, Paavai Institutions. The Chairman, Paavai Institutions delivered the presidential address. In his address, he insisted to look at the globe more broadly and from a different perspective to know the technological aspects. He also added that “Quality” and “Values” play a vital role in one’s life. He also added these International Conferences will act as a platform to expose one’s skills and technology, innovation and responsiveness are the important aspects to be considered. Following it, Mrs A.Samundeeswari, Associate Professor, ECE, introduced the Chief guest.
Dr Buddha Chandrasekar, Chief Coordinating Officer, AICTE, Ministry of Education, India gave the Keynote address. In his address, he discussed New Educational Policies and stressed that the integrated technology-driven system is more important for carrying out research activities. He also added the usage of Cloud Computing methods, Artificial Intelligence, Speech recognition and machine learning have bought about tremendous changes to the learning environment. He also discussed Digital twin technologies and insisted everyone become cross specialisation experts and use the millions of opportunities available. He also explained about three initiatives- AICTE Internship, Entrepreneurship and Yukthi schemes.
Mr M.Ponmanian, Assistant Professor, Pharmaceutical Technology introduced the Guest of Honour, Dr.Jayakumar Venkatesan, Director of Human Spaceflight Research, Analog Astronaut Training Center, Poland. Deputy Chairman, International Academy of space law, Russia. In his address, he discussed Space exploration, Astronaut training, stratospheric missions, space missions, bio-astronautics, unmanned aircraft systems, the significance of 3D and Bioprinting. Ms.A.Ancy, Assistant Professor, Bio-Medical Engineering introduced Professor. Alejandro J. Roman Molinas Director-General for Aerospace Development, Paraguayan Space agency, Government of Paraguay. He stressed about adaptive learning solutions and insisted that sustainable development is the promise of future technology. Dr.M.Sudha, Head of the Department, ECE gave the prelude to ICATS 21. More than 150 papers from various Colleges across the State were received.
The Correspondent, Paavai Institutions gave the felicitation address. In her address, she stressed the fact, that scientific innovations and research are key factors for better survival of the fittest and to lead life in peace and prosperity. She also insisted on “Own our words and deeds” and socially responsible and economic viability are to be always followed. Finally, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr.M.PremKumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College.
