National Service Scheme – Health and Hygiene Club of Paavai Engineering College and Neuro Foundation Hospital, Salem jointly organized an awareness programme on “Stress Management” held on 26th November, 2021. Dr.P.Gnanamanikandan, Neuro Psychologist, Neuro Foundation Hospital, Salem was the guest speaker for the function. Ms.G.Elakkiya, B.E. (EEE), Third Year, Paavai Engineering College, welcomed the gathering.
Dr. M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College, presided over the function. He insisted that the students to follow hygiene activities to prevent the covid-19 virus. He expressed his gratitude to the NSS unit to receive the best unit award for the year 2019-2020.
Dr.P.Gnanamanikandan, elaborated on Stress, Its types, Signs of stress, and Simple steps to reduce the stress. He explained in detail about the various types of stress and its symptoms of stress fall into three categories like physical, mental, and emotional. Then, he narrated on examination fear, family stress, the steps to protect our self from stress, the tips to handle family stress and do’s and don’ts for stress.
The sessions were highly interactive and the queries of the students were clearly clarified by the resource person. The function concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms.C.Pravesh, Final Year B.E. (CSE.), Paavai Engineering College. Heads of various departments, faculty members and Mr.C.Rathnakumar, NSS Programme Officer, Paavai Engineering College participated in this awareness programme and made it a grand success. 150 NSS Volunteers actively participated with full zeal and were benefitted by this programme.
