The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering in association with Energy Club of Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous) organized a one day guest lecture on “Industrial Automation” on 5th April 2022.Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, presided over the function and insisted the importance of industrial automation for current scenario to the students.
Mohammed Fareed, Project Engineer, IPCS Global Solutions Pvt. Ltd, was the guest speaker. In his lecture, he explained about the role, needs and importance of automation in industrials. He also explained the advanced tools and its features used in industrial automation.
The main objective of this guest lecture was to make the aspiring engineers acquainted with the conceptual as well as practical knowledge of the Industrial Automation & latest technologies being used to achieve industrial automation. The idea of organizing this guest lecture was to teach the basic fundamentals of automation in the students and provide them with a platform to work on, in the near future. The most used guiding force behind an automated industrial plant is a “Programmable Logic Controller” generally known as a PLC. PLCs along with certain other necessary ingredients like sensors, motors, actuators, valves, conveyors, boilers, SCADA systems, computers & many more, makes a real automated manufacturing plant.
Ms.M.Praveena, III year EEE welcomed the gathering, Ms.M.Iniyaa, II year EEE introduced the chief guest and Mr.S.Mohanraaj III Year EEE proposed the vote of thanks.
