A one day Webinar on the title “INTEGRATED SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT IN A TYPICAL CITY” was organized by the Department of Civil Engineering in association with “Environmental Club” and “Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC-PEC)”, Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous) on 05.06.2022. P.N.Thenswetha, Second year student/Civil welcomed the gathering. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal & President IIC, Paavai Engineering College delivered his presidential address on this event, he elaborated about various Environmental defects and its impact on the surroundings.
Mrs.K.Sharmiladevi, Head of the Department welcomed the speaker and gave an overview about solid waste management techniques. S.U.Sushmaa, Final year student/Civil gave brief introduction about the Speaker of the day. Dr.G.Venkatesan, Assistant Professor (Senior Grade), Department of Civil Engineering, University College of Engineering, Anna University, BIT Campus, Trichy was the guest speaker. He explained about the Integrated solid waste management techniques for the sustainable development. He conveyed the Environment mitigation measures and its recommendations for the welfare of the society.

Dr.K.Sundara Murthy, Vice President of IIC, Professor/Mechanical, Dr.R.Mohanapriya, Convenor of IIC, Associate Professor/ECE, Prof.K.Sharmiladevi, HoD/Civil, Convenor and Club Coordinator, along with faculty members and around 112 student participants were attended the webinar and it was successfully concluded. The session was very interactive and knowledgeable.
