The Department of Computer Science and Engineering along with Department of Cyber Security in association with the Institution Innovation Council(IIC) organized a webinar on the topic “INNOVATION AND STARTUP ECO SYSTEM” on 23.08.2022 through Online Mode. Dr. D. Banumathy , H0D of CSE gave the presidential address. Sindhu Palanivel of final year CSE gave her welcome address. The guest speaker Mr. B. Krishnakumar, Managing Director, New Technology Mobile Service Center and Training Institute, Coimbatore, delivered the guest lecture on the topic “INNOVATION AND STARTUP ECO SYSTEM”. He explained that for a startup company, the main objective must be strategically to convert service cost centre into revenue centres for brands Hence for a startup it is important to have clear goals. He also reminded of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of Make in India which gives our Indian mobile companies the opportunity to make a startup IT software company that focuses on democratizing technology in order to compete with International players. He focused on “Building credibility and scaling with limited resources is always a factor for any growing startup,” Fixing a problem and resolving itself is a massive business target. He elaborated on hardware and Software related issues . He explained about low investment affair since expenditures are mainly for a few essential spares, promotion, tools & equipment and furniture. He highlighted that students can start this service with funding in the range of Rs 50000 to Rs 1 lakh . The students interacted and gained knowledge about practical issues related to smart phone security and troubleshooting. The guest lecture was informative and the students were motivated for startup ideas. C .Yashika of III year cyber security proposed the vote of thanks. A total of 298 students and the faculty members attended the online webinar.
