The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with the Paavai Alumni Association Cell, organised a guest lecture titled “Money Management” on 10.09.2022 from 9.30a.m. to 11.30a.m. in Cute Hall. It was aimed at creating awareness to the young minds to start their savings and how to become a millionaire “ASAP”. Mr.Nivas Baskaran, Software Development Engineer, Flipcart Internet Private Limited was the speaker. In the presidential address, Dr.M.PremKumar, Principal insisted the ways to channelize the flow of funds. He also added that, according to Hindu sastra, personal development, living a luxurious life and societal contribution should be money management.
Mr.Nivas Baskaran, the alumnus speaker briefed about the various rules such as 50:30:20 for Money Management in-terms of needs, wants and savings. He also cited many examples for the rules. He also explained about Cash flow and how to manage multiple accounts, types of insurance – life and health insurances. He also elucidated on types of loans, inflation in India and savings for the future. He explained the power of compounding and tax exemptions too, that was useful for the faculty participants. Finally queries were posted and clarified by the speaker. The session ended with a Vote of Thanks by Dava Pavan Sai Srinivas, Third Year,ECE. Around 65 members participated in the event.
Earlier, the welcome address was given by B.Dharani, Third year,ECE. R.Anand, Third year,ECE introduced the speaker. Dr.M.Sudha, Professor and Head, ECE, Mr.S.Sathish, Alumni Association coordinator, Mrs.Renuga Devi, ASP, CSE, Alumni Association Cell Coordinator, Dr.R.MohanaPriya and Dr.T.Loganayaki, Association coordinators also attended the guest lecture along with faculty members of ECE. The participants were enthused to start their savings as soon as possible as insisted by the speaker
