The 1st edition of CII SALEM CEO SUMMIT 2022 was hosted in Paavai Institutions at Anandha Arangam, by the Confederation of Indian Industry, CII with a gathering of more than 1500 people comprising of business leaders, successful entrepreneurs and industry experts to generate ideas to advance management practices and discuss the current issues that affect today’s business landscape.The theme of the summit focussed on “Advancing Systemic Leadership and Shaping a Better Future for All – Together”. Senior Executives, Senior Functional Leaders transitioning to Executive Management, Product/Department Managers who will assume Corporate Level Positions, Executives form CII, Young Indians (Yi) , Indian Women Network (IWN),ICT Academy,Entrepreneurs , Students, faculty members from different concerns were the participants.
The Inaugural session commenced with an opening remark by Mr ABS Sanjay, Chairman, CII Salem Zone and Group Managing Director, AVR Swarna Mahal Jewelry Pvt Ltd. Followed with it, the special address was given by Mr. N V Natarajan, Chairman, Paavai Institutions. In his address, he insisted on, how to bridge the gap between industry and academia. He also added, an ecosystem of knowledge and new ventures needs to be prioritized and the five constituents to be focused as an educational institution. Mr Sanjay Gunasingh, Past Chairman, CII Thoothukudi and Director Bell Products Company, in his talk, focused on teamwork, market expectations for a successful business, conservative approaches to reach success and ways to convert risk into opportunities. The Chief guest address was given by Mr C D Venkateswaran Past Chairman, CII Erode Zone & Managing Partner CD Technotex LLP insisted on “Learning by observation, learning by teaching and sharing the knowledge”. Mr M Somasundaram Chairman, CII Trichy Zone & Managing Director AMMAN TRY Steels Private Ltd, in his address focused on the concept of “Change is the mantra” and finance as a business is changing every ten years and we need to adapt to all kinds of hurdles in it. The inaugural session ended with a queries from the participants and responses from the experts. The Plenary session 1 started with an opening remark by Mr M Srinivasan, Director & CEO, Adept Engineering Solutions Pvt Ltd where he insisted that digital learning and continuous learning are the key features for shaping a better future. The special address was given by Dr S Asokan, Director and CEO GEM Hospital. He elucidated that constant hard work and consistency in what we do, results in the growth of a systematic business. In the special address, Mr Murali Ganesan, Director Venus Home Appliances Private Ltd gave a presentation that focused on the tough competition provided by the Chinese and European countries in terms of designing products. He also elucidated about the competitions and hurdles he faced, industrial requirements and how to give better quality products at lower cost and an impressive design. Then, Mr Sathish Kumar T, Managing Director Milky Mist Diary Foods Pvt Ltd shared his success story through a presentation and narrating the various odds he faced. He insisted that consistency, hard work, researching the innovations in his field and being perfect in all dimensions is the secrecy behind his success. The Plenary session 2 started with an opening remark by Mrs Nagalakshmi Co Chair, Yi Salem Chapter. The special address was given by Mr M Mano Ranjan Executive Director Five P Venture India Pvt. Ltd where he insisted the participants regarding the Blue Ocean strategy. Ms Kirthika Shivkumar, Executive Director, The Indian Public School shared her success story of becoming an Executive Director of TIPS. She also inspired the gathering with her narration and the three ‘C’s – Character, Confidence and Commitment that are mandate to succeed in our life. Mr Surya Prakash, Executive Director, Pon Pure Chemicals Group elucidated his hurdles and the turnovers that they are targeting every year. Mr Kalyana Sundaram, Founder & CEO, Great Innovus Solutions P Ltd in his deliberation added that BITS has catered lot of opportunities for him and connecting among peers and networking will strengthen our business. The Plenary session 2 ended with a queries from the participants and responses from the experts. The summit ended with a Vote of Thanks by Mr ABS Sanjay, Chairman, CII Salem Zone and Group Managing Director, AVR Swarna Mahal Jewelry Pvt Ltd.
