The Department of Mechanical Engineering in association with Resource Club, have organized an Alumni Guest Lecture on “Stepping our Goals into the future“ through online mode on 02.11.2022. The Chief Guest of the inaugural function of the guest lecture was Mr.B.HARIHARAN, Design Engineer, General motors India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai. The welcome address was delivered by J.Naveenkumar, III year, Department of Mechanical Engineering and the presidential address was given by Dr.A.P. SIVA SUBRAMANIAM HoD/MECH, Paavai Engineering College. The Chief Guest was introduced by Mr.T.Saran Raj III year, Department of Mechanical Engineering.
The HoD, in his presidential address urged the students to utilize such programs to gain knowledge on advancements in different fields of technology. This was followed by inaugural address by the chief guest Mr.B.HARIHARAN, talked about the importance and strategies behind initiating the startups and advised the students to have an idea before the completion of their UG Program.
It is then followed by the presentation of the guest. In his presentation he motivated the students to learn the three dimensional software for II and III Year students and the analysis software for the final year students. He also shared the tips in designing the bottles for various applications and the strategies involved in beginning a startup.
Students of Mechanical Engineering Department of II, III and IV year have actively participated in this guest lecture. In the doubt clarifying session students raised questions about design tools of bottle design, Governments’ support in initiating the Startups and Analysis software. Every question was answered by the guest speaker.
The Alumni Guest Lecture came to an end fulfilling the intended objective. The master of ceremony was done by Mr.V.Selvaprabbu, IV Year Mechanical and Mr.M.Mugilraj, II Year, Department of Mechanical Engineering delivered the Vote of Thanks.
