The Department of Chemical Engineering in Association with INSTITUTION’S INNOVATION COUNCIL has conducted webinar entitled of ‘ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT’ on 10.12.2022(Saturday). The Webinar started with welcome by Mr. N. Gokul of Second year Chemical Engineering. Around 90 students were participated in the webinar. It was convened by Mr. R. Balasubramani, Head of the Department.
The Resource Person of the day is Dr. R. Sridhar, Assistant Engineer, Tamilnadu Pollution Control Board, and Chennai. The resource person enlightened about the importance of environmental protection and how to protect our environment. He gives a brief note on environmental degradation and also its control measures. He taught about the sources and types of pollution and how it affects the environment and also our responsibilities to protect it. The speaker shares about the how government pollution control board are working to control the pollution and the rules and limitation of individual to control pollution in industries. The students interacted with the guest speaker with their queries and illuminated themselves. The Webinar ended with vote of thanks by Ms. P. Vishalachi of third year Chemical Engineering.
