Shardeum Awareness Program in Web 3.0 to create DAPPs was organized by the Google developer students club, Paavai in association with Shardeum on 20.01.2023 at Kalams Chamber, Paavai Engineering College. It was really a great learning session for all the members of GDSC. Dr.M.Premkumar ,Principal of Paavai Engineering College, delivered the presidential address, followed by the guest speaker of the day, Mr.Prayasu , developer at Shardeum and Mr.Manoj , a content writer at Shardeum.
The fundamentals of block chain and the market’s need for block chain were discussed.Blockchain technology is an advanced database mechanism that allows transparent information sharing within a business network. Manoj sir explained cryptocurrency and NFT, paving the way for the best information for everyone.The necessity of Web 3.0 was explained by Mr. Prayasu. He gave a great explanation of the use and techniques of the technology. In addition, he also mentioned several other domains that can be collaborated on with blockchain technology, which can turn out to be a powerful tool in the future.
Once done with the seminar on blockchain technology, we were trained for a hands-on demo of Metaverse. Students were instructed to follow the instructions for the live demo. After the demo session, a giveaway from Shardeum took place. All the students took part in the giveaway contest with great curiosity.
At last, members of GDSC asked questions to the crew about the discussed platforms. Many students came up with project ideas in collaboration with Shardeum Web 3.0. Students who took part in this hands on workshop found the session to be a great learning experience.
