The Constructors Club, Department of Civil Engineering, Paavai Engineering College organized “Tests on Construction Materials” on 31.01.2023 from 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. as a part of club activity.
In this event, total number of 54 students of II, III and IV year from civil department has participated. It is a material testing event.
Teams were established by students from all three years, and experiments were presented. Materials including cement, fine aggregate, and coarse aggregate were distributed to each squad. They were compelled to conduct laboratory tests for the supplied materials within the allotted hour. After the material testing was over, each team’s second and third year students were requested to demonstrate their presentation of the field and laboratory tests methodology to the opposing teams. The main goal of this event is to learn more about the numerous tests done on the concrete construction materials. At the conclusion of the programme, students learned about the advancements in testing for construction materials (cement, fine aggregate, and coarse aggregate).
