The Electronics Club of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with the Institution of Engineers (India) had organized an event “Electrovative – Innovation Ignite” on 21st April 2023 from 2.00 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. The event was conducted for all the branches of Paavai Engineering College. Dr.G.Balaji, Professor and Head, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Paavai Engineering College was the judge for the technical event. Dr.M.Sudha, Professor and Head, Department of ECE was the Convener. She addressed the students and stressed the importance of attending such technical events to gain technical exposure. Dr.G.Balaji, Professor and Head, EEE appreciated the efforts taken by the ECE department in organizing events regularly and also insisted the students to update their knowledge and skills
It was a two round event and the first round was general knowledge round and the second round was component identification and arrangement of it. There were 20 batches of participants with around 90 students from various branches of engineering and it was conducted in the Main Building ECE department RoomNo.213. The students were keen and interested in finding out the various components and arranging it after a display of few seconds which has unveiled the mind power of the students. The first and second prize was bagged by the students of Biomedical Engineering department – N.JayaSurya and V.Badrinath team and the third prize by the students of ECE department – G.Kannan and team. The winners were given with the e-certificate, Dr.R.Mohana Priya, Associate Professor, Mr.S.Sathish, Electronics Club coordinators and Mr.G.NandhaKumar, Assistant Professor, ECE along with student coordinators, S.Niranjan from third year and P.Naveen from second year ECE organized this event. Faculty members from ECE and other members of electronics club attended the event. As per the feedback collected from the students, they added it was an opportunity to showcase their talents and to improve their technical skills.
