Report on the visit of Dr.Raji Sundararajan, PhD in Electrical Engineering, Purdue University to Paavai Educational institutions.
Dr.Raji Sundararajan, PhD in Electrical Engineering, Purdue University, an erudite Professor from the reputed Purdue University, Indiana, US visited Paavai Educational Institutions, from 17-05-2023 to 19-05- 2023. On the first day, it was a great privilege for Paavai faculty members from the departments of Biomedical, Pharmaceutical, Food Technology and Paramedical who had a brainstorming session with Dr.Raji. In this session Dr.Raji, gave intellectual inputs to faculty members who are pursuing projects in their specialisation.
On 18th May a special programme was organised for the Principals, HoDs, senior faculty members and those who have great inclination in the field of research. The Chairman of Paavai Educational Institutions Shri. CA. N.V. Natarajan, introduced the eminent professor, Dr.Raji to the gathering. During the session madam gave invaluable insights from her variegated intellectual experiences in her academic journey as a researcher in the medical field. She shed light on the applications of High Voltage Engineering in the field of Medicine to cure chronic cancer patients. She motivated the faculty members to become the contributing citizens of the society by tapping the immense wealth from the mother earth.
The post lunch session was conducted for the student representatives from all the colleges of Paavai Educational Institutions. Dr.Raji’s inspirational talk was focused on channelizing the students towards the right direction and enabling them to scale great heights. She told students to acquire a good skill set and update their knowledge in their respective domains. She kindled the interest in students to chase their dreams and lead meaningful lives by reaching out to communities around them.
The third day meeting was with Principal, Dean, Academics and Professors from Faculty Development Department. The prime focus was on effective teaching learning process. Dr.Raji shared her experiences in the field of academia on the other side of the globe. Useful suggestions were given to make classrooms situation an intellectually rewarding experience for the students.
