The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with The Institution of Engineers (India), Salem local Centre and New Technology Mobile Service & Training Institute organized a Hands- on Training – “Advanced Technologies for Smart Phone Services and Troubleshooting” from 12.07.2023 to 13.07.2023. It was aimed at disseminating knowledge to students about the role of Electronics engineers in fault finding troubleshooting in smartphone. The two days programme was presided by Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director-Admin, Paavai Institutions. In his presidential address, he motivated our students to emphasis on smartphone working and the importance of troubleshooting. The welcome address was given by Dr. M. Sudha Professor&Head,ECE, Ms.K.Prasanna Mery Assistant Professor,ECE introduced the resource speaker Mr.P.Rajesh Kumar Chief Trainer& Service Engineer, New Technology Mobile Service & Training Institute, Coimbatore.
In his address, he explained with the topic, Importance of Smartphones and different types of components. After inauguration, the trainers separated our students into 3 batches and gave the training at department laboratories. Our department laboratories M203-MPMC Lab, M303-Digital Electronics Lab and M304-Optical and Microwave lab were utilized for the training sessions. In the first day(12.7.2023) they discussed the Mobile Phone Problems and their Solutions. They also explained the various faults that occur in smart phone such as Slow Phone, Bad Battery Life, Full Storage Space, App Crashes/Freezes, and Phone Freezes etc. They explained remedial solutions for the above bugs and issues. On 13.7.2023 the students were able to acquaint themselves with the exposure to find remedy for various issues in their phones. Around 119 members participated in the training programme. Queries were posted and it was clarified by the resource speaker.
Mrs.C.Vanaja Associate Professor, ECE , Mr.R.Logarasu Assistant Professor( Sr.grade) and Mrs.S.Usha Assistant Professor, ECE, organised the event. III year ECE Students along with faculty members of ECE department attended the programme.
