The Department of EEE and Energy Club, Paavai Engineering College, has conducted a one-day guest lecture on “Importance of Electrical Safety” on October 4, 2023, at Cute Hall. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, presided over the function and motivated the students on the importance of electrical safety and its job opportunities.
Mr.R.Balaji, B.E., M.B.A., PGEM., Founder and CEO, Navitas Smart Energy Solutions & Blue Sea Solutions, Chennai was the guest speaker. In his lecture, he explained the role, needs, and importance of electrical safety and energy conservation. In his presentation, he elaborated the electrical safety is a general practice of handling and maintaining electrically powered equipment to prevent accidents. Adequate training is required to properly identify and control hazards to keep the environment safe for those around. He insisted on a way of saving electricity for the next generation and also pointed out that technical upgrades play an essential role in energy conservation. He inspired the young electrical engineers with his knowledge of electrical safety and gave them an idea of how safety precautions have to be carried out as an electrical engineer while working in a power plant.
This one-day guest lecture was organised by Professor and Head of the Department Dr.G.Balaji and coordinated by Dr.S.Rathinavel, Mr.V.Kumarakrishnan and Mr.R.Satheeshkumar.
Miss.R.Janani, III-year EEE (Energy Club member), welcomed the gathering; Miss.M.Iniyaa, a IV-year EEE (Energy Club member), introduced the chief guest and Mr.V.Deepakkumar, III-year EEE (Energy Club member) delivered the vote of thanks.
