The Centre for Research & Innovation and IQAC of Paavai Engineering College organized a Online Lecture Series on “Optimisation Techniques – First Session Title: How to do PhD? on 9th November, 2023 at Cute hall. Dr.V.Ganapathy, Eminent Professor were the resource person. The welcome address was given by Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal of Paavai Engineering College. The resource persons explained about the significance of how to do PhD and also elaborated on h-index, i10-index, Supervisor role and responsibility, Academic research in higher education, Primary and secondary research, Accurate valid and timely research, Research topic, Time line, Work schedule, Research scope, Research questions, Finding useful resource old and new, Finding additional resources, Collect resource, Method to taking notes, Consider new resource, Evaluate resource, Tentative thesis title, First Draft, Paraphrase, Final draft, Plagiarism, Best AI tools, How to write a research paper and Reading a paper.
The Heads of various departments, senior faculty members participated in the session and benefitted. The Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr.K.Sundaramurthy, Head – IQAC, Prof/Mech in the end.
