The Department of Cyber Security and CSE-(Internet of Things) in association with Institution Innovation Council (IIC-PEC) and EDC & the Institution of Engineers (India) organized a Guest lecture on Deployment of Cyber Security in IOT Applications on 14.12.2023. Dr. P. Karuppsamy Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Adhiyamaan College of Engineering and Technology, Hosur was the resource person. Vasanthan of II year CSE-(IOT) introduced the guest speaker. R. Dharshana II year Cyber security gave the welcome address. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College gave the presidential address and emphasized that the outcome of learning process must be positive to enhance the skills, gain knowledge and become more efficient when we update latest technologies and its applications. Dr.P.Muthusamy Head of the Department, Cyber security, Master of Computer Applications motivated the students in improving their talents. The guest speaker emphasized that IoT security is the technology segment focused on safeguarding connected devices and networks in IoT. He elaborated about IoT which involves adding internet connectivity to a system of interrelated computing devices, mechanical and digital machines, objects, animals and people. Internet security is the central aspect of Cyber Security and the primary purpose of Internet security solutions is to protect users and corporate IT assets from attacks that travel over the Internet. On the whole this training was highly informative on Internet of Things, its security and its applications. A total of 180 students along with department faculty members participated in this Guest lecture. The students felt that this session was interactive with practical insights.
