The Department of Food Technology organised an Alumni guest lecture titled “Transition from College life to Work culture” on 20.12.2023. Ms. A. Abipriya, Production Planner, Hindustan Foods limited, Coimbatore was the resource speaker. She started the session with a good interaction with the students and shared her life in college. She emphasized on the skills a food technologist must acquire in order to shine in the working environment. Her insights on industrial follow ups gave the students a great thought on life in industries. Ms. A. Abipriya motivated the students to gain skills and experience by presenting papers, getting hands on training in various sectors and preparing themselves for the industry they want to work in. She also implanted the significance of internships in industries and certification courses. Her transition story from college to industry motivated the students to a greater extend. The students were able to acquaint themselves with the various roles and procedures in an industry. The speaker engaged the session with interaction. Students attended the session very enthusiastically. Around 105 members participated in the Alumni guest lecture. Queries were clarified by the resource speaker.
