The Department of chemistry had organized an online Guest Lecture on” NANAOTECHNOLOGY FOR ENGINEERS “on 2nd Feb 2024 at 06.30 p.m. through the Microsoft Teams platform. The Resource person was Dr.C.Manivannan, Assistant Professor, SRM Institute of Technology and Science, Trichy. The welcome address was given by Mr.A.Jeeva, AP/Chemistry and Dr.N.Vijayanand ASP/Chemistry introduced the resource person. .
The objective of organizing the online guest lecture was to create awareness among the students on issues related to nanotechnology. The outcome of the webinar is that the students gained knowledge on various ways on nanotechnology importance and advancement. They are aware on the sources of nanomaterials, types, properties, recent advancement and formulation of materials along with their applications from day today life to life saving applications. The resources person insists about the various technologies employed for nanomaterials synthesis.
Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr.N.Geetha, ASP/Chemistry. Faculty members and about 160 students were present in the meeting. The feedback received from the students about the webinar was useful creating the awareness and nature of applications in various engineering fields.
