Paavai Engineering College organized a one-day International Conference on Adaptive technologies for sustainable growth “ICATS’24” on 27th April 2024. Mr.Thiago Henrique De Lima, R&D Team lead, Philips Healthcare Systems, Brazil and India was the chief guest of the Inauguration Ceremony. The welcome address was delivered by Director Administration, Paavai Institutions. The Chairman, Paavai Institutions delivered the presidential address. In his address, he stated that any technology will grow naturally and help the mankind to live a comfortable and convenient life. He also insisted that any technology has two sides like a positive and a negative, similarly the technology developed must be environment friendly, sustainable and should not be tampering the environment of the globe. Ms.V.Shanmathi, Final Year BE ECE, introduced the chief guest.
Mr.Thiago Henrique De Lima, R&D Team lead, Philips Healthcare Systems, Brazil and India delivered his Keynote address. In his address, he explained the efforts of developing an equipment and software in healthcare industries. He stated that user experience and technology to link patients with the doctors are well developed like Telemedicine, APPs, etc. He explained importance of cyber security in healthcare systems and stated that there is 60% probability of cyber-attacks. He also added the usage of Cloud Computing methods, Artificial Intelligence and machine learning has been around 900 Billion Dollar business across the globe. He insisted everyone to find their passion and purpose to make a difference in one’s life.
Madam Correspondent, Paavai Institutions gave the felicitation address. In her address, she stressed the fact, that scientific innovations and research are key factors for better survival with values. She also insisted on “Own our words and deeds” and socially responsible and economic viability are to be always followed.
Dr.T.Arun Kumar, Head of the Department, BME gave the prelude to ICATS 24, in which he stated out of 825 research papers received from reputed institutions, 250 papers were selected for 18 parallel sessions.
Finally, the Vote of Thanks was delivered by Dr.M.PremKumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College.
