The Department of chemistry was organized an online Guest Lecture about ” INNIVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR ENERGY STORAGE ” on 09th May 2024 at 06.30 p.m. through the Microsoft Teams platform. The Resource person was Dr.P.Srinivasan, Associate Professor, Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai. The welcome address was given by Mr.A.Jeeva AP /Chemistry and the resource person was introduced by Mrs.S.Sathiyasudha, AP/Chemistry.
The objective of organizing the online guest lecture was to provide the knowledge among the students to develope an energy storge perspectives and opportunities in different areas using various technologies including electro chemical, chemical, thermal and solar process. advancement of battery technology and utility of consumable energy has saved and lower the cost of the existence of fossil fuels to protect environment.
The outcome of the webinar is that the students gained knowledge on various application of energy storage devices including Stationary applications, UPS, backup power, peak saving remote power, microgrid industrial applications, auto motive reduced greenhouse gas emission, improved reliability and cost control methods.
Finally, the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. N. Geetha ASP, Chemistry. Faculty members and about 200 students were present in the meeting. The feedback received from the students about the webinar for further details.
