The Department of EEE, Energy Club in association with Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Paavai Engineering College has conducted a one day webinar titled “Navigating the Effectiveness of Outcome-Based Education” on 18.05.2024. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, presided over the function and insisted on the importance of effective learning and various opportunities in the industries for the students.
Dr. N. Rajasingam, Associate Professor, KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, was the guest speaker. In his lecture, he explained about outcomes based education (OBE) and its structure, which includes the restructuring of curriculum, evaluation, and reporting practices in training to mirror the achievement of excessive order in gaining knowledge and mastery in place of the buildup of path credit.
In his presentation, he mentioned that OBE is an educational approach considered in making plans, enforcing, and assessing curricula in preference to an event going on in the curricula. It promises an excessive degree of knowledge gain for all students based totally on the achievement of really unambiguous effects with attention to the appropriateness of each learner‘s development degree and ensuring energetic and experience-based learning.
This one day webinar was organised by Professor & Head of the Department, Dr.G.Balaji and coordinated by Dr.S.Rathinavel and Mr.V.Kumarakrishnan.
