The Department of Physics, Paavai Engineering College organized a one day Student webinar on “PHYSICS BEHIND QUANTUM COMPUTING” on 10th June’2024. The webinar Programme was organized by Professor & Head of the Department Mrs.S.Kavitha and coordinated by Mrs.C.Barathi and Dr.R.Kamalakannan, along with faculty members. Dr. M. Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College delivered his Presidential Address on the occasion. Prof.Mr.S.Dinakaran, Science and Humanities, introduced the Chief Guest ‘Dr.R.Nithya Head of the Department / Physics,Sanskrit School of Engineering, Andrapradesh’ and M. Mitra devi First year/FT, Paavai Engineering College welcomed the gathering. After that, the floor was handed over to the chief guest. She imparted her understanding of the basics of quantum computing. Students have a detailed understanding and familiarity with the applications of quantum computing. The session was very informative and interesting. Then the floor was opened to the participants for interactions. The vote of thanks was proposed by S. Thirumurugan from first Year/FT. Thanks to our Management, Director-Admin, Principal and Staff members for their support and for making the event a very successful one.
