Talent Quest for India (TQI) at Paavai Engineering College organized a guest lecture on “Effective English for Professional Success” and “Art of Competent Professional Etiquette” on Saturday, 16th November 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Cute Hall.
The session began with a welcome address delivered by Ms. Sathyasri, a 3rd-year Pharmaceutical Engineering student, followed by the Presidential address by Dr. K.K. Ramasamy, Director of Administration, Paavai Educational Institutions. In his address he insisted the importance of professional etiquette and honored the guest speakers with mementos, including Mr. S. Aravind Kumar, Technology Service Engineer-III at Walmart, Chennai, and Mr. V. Roshan Kumar, Media Team member at Talent Quest for India, Chennai.
Ms. S. Sruthika, a 3rd-year IT student, introduced the distinguished speakers, setting the stage for their insightful presentations. Mr. S. Aravind Kumar delivered an engaging talk on “Effective English for Professional Success”, focusing on crucial aspects such as active participation in interviews and techniques for self-introduction. His practical tips aimed to enhance the professional communication skills of the audience.
Mr. V. Roshan Kumar conducted an interactive session on the effective use of tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva. He shared valuable insights into how these tools can be leveraged to improve productivity and creativity in professional settings.
The event was attended by Mr. S. Sathish, the TQI Faculty Coordinator, along with 103 volunteers, faculty members, and students, making it a highly engaging and successful session.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Reshma, a 3rd-year Food Technology student, marking the end of an enlightening and impactful session..
