The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in association with “The Institution of Engineers (India) – Salem Local Centre” (IEI – SLC) organized webinar titled “Unlocking Opportunities: The Role of GATE and other Competitive Exams” on 20.11.2024. The objective of this webinar is to enlighten students about competitive examinations like GATE and how it creates opportunities for higher education, better career prospects, and skill development, inspiring aspirant to achieve their goals.
In the Keynote address, Mr.Arjun Chhabra, Faculty Member, ACE Engineering Academy, Hyderabad insisted on the importance GATE and other competitive exams like CAT, or UPSC and others how competitive exams open doors to prestigious government and public sector jobs. He also added that clearing GATE, one can occupy positions in PSUs such as BHEL, ONGC, and IOCL, which are known for challenging work environments and excellent benefits. Similarly exams like UPSC or SSC guide aspirants toward leadership roles in public administration. Finally the guest speaker answered various queries posted by the students.
Dr.R.Mohanapriya, Convener, HoD/ECE, Mr.S.Vijayakumar AP/ECE, Mrs.S.Vijaya AP/ECE, were the faculty coordinators and 90 students from ECE attended the webinar. The students gained knowledge and insights about the importance of GATE and other exams for their academic and career growth.
