Paavai Engineering College, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC-PEC), organized the “Smart India Hackathon 2025 – Internal Hackathon” on 23rd & 24th September 2025 at Cute Hall, Placement Cell – Group Discussion Hall, and Premium Hall. The external juries were Mr.Karthik V, Business Relations Manager, Edsols Innovation Pvt Ltd; Mr.Sri Soundar Raja L, Associate AI Develper, Edsols Innovation Pvt Ltd; Anu Priya C M, Full Stack Developer & Operations Development Lead, Edsols Innovation Pvt Ltd; Ragul A S, AI Engineer, Tekcogent Solution. The internal juries included Dr.B.Venkatesan, Associate Professor & HoD of IT; Dr.P.Purusothaman, Associate Professor /Cyber Security; Dr.B.Kailashkumar, Associate Professor &HoD of Agricultural Engineering. The juries motivated young minds to develop innovative and technological ideas.
Dr.B.Venkatesan, HoD of IT and SIH’25 SPOC , delivered the welcome address, followed by a presidential address from the Principal, Dr. M. Premkumar, who encouraged students to launch their ventures and pursue their goals. He wished success to all participating teams in advancing to the next level.
A total of 190 student teams from various departments presented their Problem Statement ideas to the jury and experts. The sessions, which began at 10:00 a.m., were interactive, with students showcasing their talents across different sub-themes and innovation categories. The jury provided valuable suggestions for refining the concepts. Mr.R.Rakesh, AP/IT, proposed the vote of thanks. The event offered a rich learning experience, helping students understand various social issues in alignment with industrial standards.
