The Department of Chemical Engineering organized a special programme on 27.11.2025, which proved to be informative, inspiring, and highly beneficial for both students and faculty members. The event began with the arrival and registration of the guests, after which the Master of Ceremony, Ms. M. K. Nithiya, conducted the programme smoothly and effectively. The programme officially commenced with a warm Welcome Address delivered by Ms. G. Swathi, who greeted all the dignitaries, faculty members, and students.
This was followed by the Presidential Address by Dr. R. R. Krishnamurthy, Director – Research. His motivating speech encouraged everyone to focus on innovation, research, and personal growth. Next, Ms. P. Indhumathi presented the Chief Guest Introduction, highlighting the achievements and contributions of Dr. C. Anandharamakrishnan, Director of the CSIR–National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology. The Principal of Paavai Engineering College then honoured the Chief Guest by presenting him with a memento.
The main highlight of the programme was the Special Address delivered by Dr. C. Anandharamakrishnan on the topic “Research Transformations in India.” He explained how research in India is evolving rapidly and how new ideas and technologies are shaping the nation’s future. He also emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary studies, problem-solving skills, and continuous learning. His talk encouraged students to think creatively, explore new fields, and develop a keen interest in research.
The session was followed by an interactive Q&A, during which students and faculty members raised thoughtful questions. The Chief Guest responded patiently and offered practical guidance. The interaction helped students gain a deeper understanding of current research opportunities and the skills required for their future careers.
