Paavai Engineering College hosted the West Zonal-1 training for Talent Quest for India (TQI) on June 22, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 70 TQI volunteers participated in the training program.
The day began with a welcome address by Ms. Ragavi, a final-year CSE student. Ms. M.J. Safa Faren, the TQI Ullas Project Manager, then honoured Ms. R. Preethi, the Zonal Head (West Zone-1), as a token of gratitude.
The training kicked off with an orientation program led by Ms. Safa Faren, who introduced TQI’s college memories and various projects. This was followed by a session with the trainer, Ms. Preethi, who highlighted the importance of the training. Mr. S. Sathish, Faculty Coordinator of TQI, discussed the benefits of discipline, after which the volunteers took a short break.
Post-break, Ms. Safa Faren explained Summit-1 and the DOD session. Ms. Preethi then took over to cover Summit-2, focusing on planning, time management, teamwork, and decision-making, using games to demonstrate teamwork. This was followed by a lunch break.
After lunch, the volunteers engaged in a group activity during Summit-3, led by Ms. Preethi. Ms. Safa Faren then discussed the process flow for ULLAS sessions, covering lesson plans, reports, finance, mail matrices, and more. The day concluded with a Q&A and feedback session.
Ms. R. Preethi summarized the day’s events and expressed gratitude to Paavai Engineering College and the volunteers. The training wrapped up with a group photo.
