The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Paavai engineering college conducted an alumni guest lecture on the title, “CAMPUS TO CORPORATE” on 26.06.2019 at cute hall. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College presided over the function.
Er.Nivesh Prakash, Consultant, Human Resources Transformation in Deloitte Consulting USI an Alumni student of batch 2010-2014, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Paavai Engineering College, Namakkal was the guest of the day. The main theme of the guest lecture is to enlighten the minds of budding engineers in terms of successful placement in campus interview and the expectations of top software companies. In this lecture Mr.Nivesh, the corporate expert shared his experience, of how he has moulded himself into a software engineer who is from the core electrical department. He also shared, how he faced the interview and what kind of skills required for the students to develop, so that, they would be recruited. He also provided web resources- websites for the students to get trained in additional software that, may increase the chance of recruitment. Knowledge about various corporate companies and their recruitment process were provided. He imparted the importance of communication skill and provided some tips to frame the resume professionally to catch the attention of interviewer. He insisted the participants to shape themselves according to the needs of the corporate world .He also assured that, he would help the students through his AIRAA foundation by showing the right path to their career. Mr.S.Saravanan of Third year EEE welcomed the gathering and Ms.Jayabharathi of third year EEE proposed the vote of thanks.
