The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Paavai Engineering College conducted an alumni guest lecture on the title, “Employability Skills” on 27.07.2019 at cute hall. Dr.M.Premkumar, Principal, Paavai Engineering College presided over the function. Mr.S.Ajay Kumar, Global Partner HR, Accenture, Bengaluru, an Alumni student of batch 2010-2014 was the chief guest of the day. The main theme of the guest lecture is to enlighten the minds of budding engineers in terms of resume building, personality skill development for their successful placement.
In this lecture Mr.Ajay Kumar, insisted the students to read English novels and newspapers to develop communication skill. He also instructed to listen to communication videos for better pronunciation which will increase the chance of recruitment. He imparted the importance of communication skill and provided some tips to frame the resume professionally to catch the attention of the interviewer. He highlighted the current needs of the company, based on service and customer oriented products. He guided about the interview session as per the expectations of top software companies. He also shared, how he faced the interview and what kind of skills are required for the students to develop, so that, they would be recruited. He motivated the students to take part in all kinds of training regarding placement.
