The Department of IT organized an alumni guest lecture program on the title of “Listen, Learn, Lead”. The session was inaugurated at 10.00 a.m. by Dr.M.PremKumar Principal, in the presence of Head of the department -IT, faculty members and the participants from departments of IT and CSE. In his Presidential Address, the Principal highlighted the importance of the latest technology.
The keynote address was given by the guest speaker Mr.Karthick Narayanan, Risk Analyst, Amazon. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the College for their support. He expressed his experience as a student which gave him confidence to face the real world outside the campus. The session was carried over on the title “Listen, Learn, Lead”. He shared news about Jammu and Kashmir issue. Starting with the quote of his COE ”Get update of day today technology, otherwise you could not survive”. He told the student to Pay attention, give the speaker your undivided attention and acknowledge the message. He expressed his skill by saying “Effective leaders value their employees input and make it as a priority to give the channels of communication open”. Next he moved to the learning skill –Leaders are not infallible, they are adaptable. He encouraged all the students to participate in all the events. Life long learning, and studying pattern will decide the success. He explained to lead by motivating than seeing the boss putting in the effort “day in and day out”. He passed the positive vibration and made all the students to work at speed.
He rendered his heartfelt thanks to the Management, Head of the Department –IT and the faculty members. Mrs.M.Shanmika, Third year IT, welcomed the gathering. The session ended around 12:30 p.m. with the vote of thanks proposed by Ms.A.J.Sangeetha, Third year IT.
