Day 1 – 22.02.2023
“ASTRA 2023” – A two day intra-collegiate cultural extravaganza was organized by Paavai Educational Institutions under the student activity forum AURA and SPARISM on 22.02.2023 and 23.02.2023 for all three engineering college students headed by Director Student Affairs. Director Student Affairs cum ASTRA convener Ar.Avanti Natarajan welcomed the gathering. In Astra’23, all three engineering college students were grouped as three teams namely Paavai Warriors, Paavai Troopers and Paavai Crusaders. Chairman CA. N.V. Natarajan presided over the inaugural function, Inaugurated “Astra’23” and delivered the presidential address. In his presidential address, he stated that Astra’23 serves as a platform to improvise their skills and interest towards leadership, organizational and cultural activities. He also added that more than being a normal cultural fest, it will give the students some good experiences to shape their creativity and talents. He also included that these type of cultural fest will encourage and motivate younger minds to overcome fear and hesitation. In-addition he insisted that perseverance with determination will help them to succeed in life and become achievers. ASTRA’23 was designed with a total of 40+ grand events grouped under 12 categories like Dance, Music, Let’s Talk, Dramatics, Tamil forum, Fashion Runway, Art Attack, Fireless Cooking, Mega Rangoli, Sports events etc . These events were conducted to prove students’ strength and unity in this competitive cultural environment. Prelude for ASTRA’23 was given by Ms.Cherub Ebenezer, Final B.E (CSE) and Mr. Neeraj, First Year B.E. (Biomedical Engineering). Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions felicitated the gathering.
Day 2 – 23.02.2023

Chairman CA. N.V. Natarajan presided over the valedictory function and delivered the presidential address. In his address, he appreciated and greeted each and every student for their participation, performance and contribution in making the events, a grand successful. Super Singer fame Singer Srinidhi was the guest for the valedictory function. She performed live singing for about 45 minutes. ASTRA’23 trophies were presented to the three teams – Paavai Warriors followed with Paavai Troopers and Paavai Crusaders. Smt. Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions felicitated the gathering. In her felicitation, She insisted education with keen observation will lead to success. Then She stated that situational leadership and simplicity will elated the students to higher positions. Ms.R.Sreetharsane, Final B.E. (ECE) welcomed the gathering and Ms.Cherub Ebenezer, Final B.E (CSE) proposed the Vote of thanks. In this function, Director Admissions, Director Administration, Principals, Dean, Controller of Examination, faculty members and students were present.
