Paavai Educational Institutions-National Service Scheme, Government Hospital, Rasipuram and Salem Blood Bank, Salem jointly organized the Blood Donation Camp on 24.07.19 on the college premises. Dr.B.Sridevi, Blood Bank Medical Officer, Government Hospital, Rasipuram, told the students that the blood donation does not weaken the donators and the recovery takes place very soon. She talked about facts, myths and Blood Groups related information. Dr.Kalaiselvan, Blood Bank Medical Officer, Salem Blood Bank, Salem, expressed his gratitude to the NSS unit of the college for its continuous endeavor in this regard. He explained that donated blood is stored in blood banks and is given to the patients in the time of need, like major operations and donated blood would be used for saving the lives of the injured and the sick.
In this camp, Dr.M.Devi, Principal, Paavai College Engineering, Dr.Manikandan, Salem Blood Bank, Salem, Health Inspectors, Mr.C.Rathnakumar, NSS Programme Officer, Paavai Engineering College and Mr.J.Saravannan, NSS Programme Officer, Paavai College of Engineering were present and they encouraged the students to donate blood. The students of Paavai Institutions eagerly participated in this camp and donated blood. Totally 215 students donated their blood. Finally, the donors were appreciated with Blood Donation Certificates.
