A one day guest lecture on the topic “Next Generation Hacking” was organized by the departments of Computer Science Engineering and Information Technology, Paavai Engineering College, on 30th January 2020. Mr. Aditya Nair, Innovation Engineer, Rocheston Accreditation Institute, Chennai, was the trainer. The session started with a prayer song. Ms. T. Narmatha Nisha, III year CSE, welcomed the gathering. Dr. K.K. Ramasamy, Director Admin, Paavai Institutions, welcomed the guest and gave presidential address. Mr. Raventh Kumar, III year CSE, introduced the guest speaker to the gathering. Mr. Aditya Nair, in his keynote address, gave a detailed note on “Cybersecurity” by explaining how to build a strong foundation to handle the security threats. Mr. Aditya addressed various effectuations of cybercrimes that were carried out by the young students to a reputed organization – Yahoo. By stating that, he also motivated the students to learn more about hacking techniques and indulge in ethical hacking which will not affect the society in any form. Mr. Aditya explained various conventional attacks where a hacker can break the authentication without one’s knowledge and he also explained the transition from those old techniques to contemporary ones. He, then, listed out various techniques and measures that help to identify and protect the mobile devices from threats in a secured way. He covered the topics including,

· Cyber Range Sphere – Simulation Platform for Cyber Network Training
Ms. Roopa, Third year CSE, proposed the vote of thanks during the valedictory program. Students and staff members of CSE and IT were present over the session.
