The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering had organized an online Webinar on “SMART TECHNOLOGY DEVICES” on 15thNovember 2021 from11.00 a.m.to 12.03p.m in Microsoft Teams. Dr.N.Sasirekha, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering,Sona College of Technology, Salem was the guest speaker. The welcome address was given by Ms.S.Keerthana from final year ECE and T.Dhivakaran, from third-year ECE introduced the Chief guest.
Dr.M.Sudha, HoD, ECE gave the presidential address. In her talk, she insisted on the importance of organizing such webinars is, the students can update their knowledge beyond their curriculum. She briefed about the acronym of SMART- Self Monitoring Analysis and Reporting Analysis and the importance of Deep Learning and Artificial intelligence.
Followed with it, Dr.N.Sasirekha, resource speaker explained about Smart devices and chip design. She explained the process of product development and the parameters to be considered in designing any smart device. She also discussed the future of smart home products. She also elucidated the practical applications of major smart electronic components, wearable fitness devices, smart devices for ECG measurement, virtual PC and heart rate measurement. In addition, she explained about 3D chip and its design, fabrication process and applications. Finally, she concluded the session with a Quiz for the participants.
Finally, the vote of thanks was given by Ms.R.Akalya, from final year ECE. Dr.R.Mohana Priya, Associate Professor, ECE, Mr.S.Loganathan, AssistantProfessor, ECE, event coordinators along with the other faculty members of the ECE department were also present in the meeting.
