The Seminar was inaugurated with prayer song by 9:30 a.m in the presence of Mrs.L.Mukhil, Block Statistical Investigator, Department of Statistics, Kabilarmalai, Namakkal as guest speaker, Principal- Paavai Engineering College, Head of the Department-ECE, and various department heads, faculty members of Paavai Engineering College along with other participants. Dr. R. Arangasamy delivered welcome address. The presidential address was delivered by Dr.K.K.Ramasamy, Director Administration, Paavai Engineering College, in which he highlighted that the technological innovation should be focused towards health and safety of women throughout their life. He motivated the participants to learn such a social relevant topic.The keynote address was given by the Guest speaker Mrs.L.Mukhil, Block Statistical Investigator, Department of Statistics. She is a distinguished speaker and good consultant. She congratulated the organizer on arranging such a social seminar regarding the safety of women. She aired a sense of appreciation for the topics to be discussed in the two day seminar which would deal with various challenging issues faced by our young girl students. The inauguration got over by 10:00am.The first session was handled by the guest speaker from 10:00 am to 11.00am.She gave a magnificent speech on the topic “Social Awareness and Technological Support for Woman”. Her speech extensively focused on the impacts of dressing issues, behavioral manners etc. She gave a detailed statistical analysis of woman empowerment in India and other countries. Dr.R.Gayathri, Professor, Sona College of Technology, the second session success got the audience across the latest safety components and its usefulness for the women safety such as Mighty pen and safety number. Her lecture offered idea about the role of smart devices ensuring women safety. Dr.C.Vijayalakshmi Palanivelu MA(Yoga)., M.Acu., D.R.T, PhD(Yoga), M.Sc(Applied Psychology), Rasipuram in the afternoon session gave tips for handling women’s stress during their menstrual cycle and gave suitable remedies through acupressure points available in the human body.The second day session was started at 9:30 am with Mrs.P.Rekha, Advocate’s, on Constitutional Rights for Woman and Support given by the Government of India. She briefed about women safety act, domestic violence act and the current scenario in India as regards women’s safety. Women’s rights in their families as well as in the society was an additional highlight, which resulted in useful interaction.The second day session was started at 9:30 am with Mrs.P.Rekha, Advocate’s, on Constitutional Rights for Woman and Support given by the Government of India.
