Department of Management Studies of Paavai Engineering College (Autonomous) & Department of Commerce and Management studies of Pavai Arts and Science College for Women in association with centre for consultancy training and corporate interface conducted a Seminar entitled “FINANCIAL LITERACY” on 16th September, 2022. The programme commenced with the prayer song by choir group, Ms. D.M.Varshini of III B.Com.welcomed the gathering. Ms.K.S.Janani II B.Com. introduced the guest speaker.
The guest speakers Dr.MATHEW THOMAS, Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) and Dr.Shilpa Gopal, Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) of Manipal Academy flabbergasted the students with various financial needs and importance.They delivered the possible ways to grow and save money with some aspects like cut down expenses, Plan your budget, Accumulate small amount of money. He gave motivated the students to invest the money in companies and he also explain the concept of share markets, savings accounts, Mutual funds and commodities market.They ended the session with a quote,
“Save money and Money will save you”
Ms.G.Sadhana of III B.Com.(C.A.) delivered the vote of thanks. Finally the programme came to an end with the National Anthem.
