A guest lecture was organized by the Department of Management Studies, on 19/8/2019 on the topic, “Soft Skills Training for Future Managers”. Dr. J. Kirubakaran, Associate Professor in Business Management from Maldives Business School was the Guest Speaker. Dr.R.N.Padma, HOD, MBA Department, presided over the function. S.Jananee, student of 2nd MBA, delivered the welcome address and Ms.P.Jenisha, 2nd MBA, introduced the Chief Guest. The guest speaker Dr. J. Kirubakaran, explained the various types of Soft Skills and its importance. He highlighted the significance of reading books related to personal growth and achievement. He conducted an activity to explore the inner abilities of the students. He explained that effective communication is understanding the emotions of others and communicating accordingly. He also discussed about understanding oneself, innovative thinking, problem solving, leadership abilties, teamwork and communication. At the end of the session S.Jananee, student of II MBA, proposed the vote of thanks.
