Paavai Institutions celebrated Guru Vanakkam’ 2023 to appreciate and applaud the contribution made by the teaching fraternity in Ananadha Arangam from 10.30a.m. to 1.30p.m.The celebration commenced with a Prayer Song followed by Tamilthaivazithu. Smt.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions along with the dignitaries lighted the Kuthuvilaku. It was followed with bhajan by the students who immersed the gathering in a divine path. In the welcome cum Presidential address, Shri.CA.N.V.Natarajan, Chairman, of Paavai Institutions expressed his wishes for Teachers Day. He addressed, that it was a divine day and teachers were the root cause for the transformation of the society. He stressed the significance of Padha Pooja stating that teachers should rededicate themselves to serve the students and work for the growth of the society. He also added that inaugurating such functions with the lighting of kuthuvilaku symbolizes God and divine power. He also addressed that Paavai should reach the height of the Himalayas in the coming years.
Dr. C. Sathish, Director, Paavai Group of Schools delivered his Teacher’s Day address. In his talk, he emphasized that teachers should be role model to the students and should provide the right guidance. A good teacher should have professional knowledge and competency. He also added that learning is a continuous process, and it is the need of the hour. He also insisted, that all the teachers do a self-analysis of their weaknesses and focus on it. He ended his talk with a short story emphasizing the qualities of a compassionate teacher.
Smt.Mangai Natarajan, Correspondent, Paavai Institutions, felicitated the gathering. It was followed by the Padha Pooja for the teachers done by the students. It was a heart-melting event where the students performed the Pooja, and the teachers showered their blessings to them. The celebration ended with a Vote of thanks by the Director Administration, Paavai Institutions. All the faculty were served lunch, and it was attended by Directors, Deans, Principals, Controller of Examinations, Senior Professors, faculty members and students.
