The Institution Innovation Council, IIC of Paavai Engineering College in association with departments of Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology organized an event “Poster presentation of start-up’s developed and linkage with innovation ambassadors for mentorship support” on 12.08.2022 in Mechatronics laboratory. Dr.V.Subburam, Professor, Mechanical and Innovation Ambassador, presented his lecture on the topic of “Innovation and Incubation”. He gave a brief knowledge about innovation and its concepts.Then he explained about incubation, which means to aid the development of the implemented ideas. He also elucidated the difference between innovation and incubation,innovation is implementing some new ideas, whereas incubation is meant to be supportive for the further development of the ideas.Innovation and incubation together gives a massive growth to ideas. He also encouraged each and every one ideas and added few more to it.
A poster presentation provides a visual representation of your research through text, charts, graphs, and other visual aids. The participants presented their start-up ideas in the event and discussions were made.Through this presentation, students were able to interact with the experts and discuss about their methods or findings. Students gained some more ideas with the guidance of resource speaker and the experts.Dr.P.Thiyagarajan, Associate Professor,IT and Mr.T.Thangavel, Assistant Professor, Mechanical department were the coordinators. All department EDC and IIC faculty coordinators too attended the event. Around 80 participants from various departments attended the presentation.It was indeed a knowledge sharing event that energised young minds.
